This product has done wonders for our kitchen sink. We had a mesh strainer, but it was gross trying to scrape it out from the drain. This fits very well in our sink and has made it so much simpler to clean out the trap. The push button on top seals the drain pretty well. From what I could tell no water was leaking though. Having a removable basket with a place to grab is such an improvement than digging through wet food.
